Automatic to Manual Transmission Swap
Alright, so my teg is automatic, sucks.. but the original intended purpose was to just be a DD to drive around until it dies and it was a good deal. I changed my mind after a few weeks of driving the teg and have seriously been considering an engine/transmission swap when the engine dies, or I save the money for it.. which ever comes first.
My question is, how difficult is it to add in a third pedal for the clutch, and put in the manual stick shifter etc.. is it hard? expensive? Please let know if you have experience with this. Some people told me that it's easier to buy another car that's already manual and just drop money in it instead.. but that's not the route I'd like to go. Any advice or tips would be nice.

Would it be something I could do before the engine dies if I replace it with the same engine transmission in manual instead, and exactly what parts would I need to get?
I've got a 94 LS, so B18b1. What ECU, and the whole lot more.. what would I need exactly?
My engine has only 220k on it, so its going to go for a while.. it still feels strong.. and driving another 80k minimum on it .. with automatic seems less appealing. I'm just trying to get an idea for cost, and time spent and effort.. if its entirely too much effort.. I'll probably just wait til I B18C5 or K swap.

It's not that expensive my friend did it on his with tranny and all the pars including new clutch cost him around 700. But when you motor dies do it then it won't be that diffcult. My friend that did it has no experiance with cars and I would never think he was capable of doing it he did it in a few hours on his driveway. And I drove it and it's nice the aftermarket clutch and pedal system is really stiff then a usual stock integra but this could be done.
Heres a list I found

2. Linkage rod assembly (any 94-01 teg)

There are lots of things but if he wants to keep the same shell it will only cost him a maximum of I'm saying 1500 on parts and labour to make it stick it's still cheaper then getting a good shell on a dc.
I really appreciate the list, thanks guys. I know it would be a 'pain in the ***' to you.. because you probably started with manual to begin with lol.. it's a glorious idea to me, no matter how much effort it takes lmao. ------' Automatic.
Ya auto is alright for traffic but if you wanna enjoy driving and have fun it's gotta be a stick. It could be done and as for a pain in the *** if you pay a mechanic to do it it's there pain not yours.
I have auto as well. I contemplated on the swap, and I still do. Id love to get it done just to say I did it. Do it up man, if anything when i get around to my swap if I get another auto ill come to you
Haha, yeah.. that's what my friends and people have been saying to me too. Saying it would be more time consuming, and overwhelming at first.. but it's doable and a good learning experience if I do it. Keep in mind I'm FAR from a mechanic or knowledgeable about this kind of thing in particular.. but hell, I'm never gonna wanna learn on something more expensive, nor will I want to pay a mechanic to do it, thats why I bought my teg in the first place.. to be my learning car from body work, to electrical.. to mechanical.
Thanks for helping.

Will do, I've done a bit of work on my car since I've bought it.. and I'm taking pictures every step of the way.. once the car is one color and and cleaned up and looking nice I'll start my build thread so you can see where it all started and what I've done.. I've got it envisioned in my head hahah.
