Default AUTO swap to Manual

Hey All,
Anyone ever done a transmission swap from automatic to manual transmission? I've got a 97 Rs motor, and my buddy is giving me his 93 Civic tranny. Where can i get a pedal box from and how much do they cost? As well, does it have to be the pedal box for that particular civic? AS well, what other parts will I need for the tranny swap. Any input would be great!

it's alot tougher for a 3rd gen i think. you'll need ECU, Tranny, Pedals, axles, linkage and stabilizer, clutch, clutch cable, ignition, flywheel, tranny mount, clutch switch, and i think a few misc parts,

gotta do alot of research before even attempting to even loosen a bolt. check team integra. there's info on g2ic about it but you're not a g2

Well there is nothing wrong with automatics if you cant be bothered with a manual. I got my teg after passing my g2 with only 12 hours of driving in my life I wasnt about to jump into learning how to drive stick at the same time now that its been two years im cool with picking it up since im not all new to driving.

Hmmm, doesn't matter if you teg is super fast...it's auto. Anyone can push the gas and go. No skill in that.

dennis, if you get suzie's integra, you should do a tranny swap because all this love you're showing for automatic trannies is getting kinda ghey.

i'm a lazy bastard =) stick requires effort... and besides that.. i commute A LOT... and it's easier to drive.. put it in D... and then enjoy the ride =)

JDMgsr- I'm not a push gas and go kinda person.. =) i like the twisties =) it's more like push gas and go around corners!

We all know that it's not the transmission that makes the car faster in Auto slalom courses and that it is in fact the driver and that you state you catch up to 5spd tegs all the time probably means that you are one of these skilled drivers.
