Default 98 Gsr idle problem

The car will idle around 1500 when cold and doens't drop when the car warms up or reaches normal operating temp, However if i hit a stop light and i turn the car off and restart, the car will then idle at around 650-700.
Seems like it resets something when i restart the car. also showing a cel for code p1106 baro sensor. Any help would be appreciated.

baro sensor problem is gone now, but i still have the idle problem. Wondering why the car won't drop the idle when it warms up. seems like the car doesn't know its warmed up unless i restart the car.

ok took the iacv off this week and cleaned it out. Still no change the idle drops a little when it warms up but only to 1k. reset the idle buy disconnecting the iacv and set it to 700, reset the ecm and still no difference. Anyone have any ideas out there?

check for vacuum leaks around ur manifold. u might have a small crack or loose connection.

go to the "DIY Articles" section for FITV. Yes a vacuum leak might also be a possibility but it would idle high all the time if it were a vacuum leak.
