The part where he said his shirt was too baggy didn't have to do with him being black though, lots of clubs around here are super strict on dress code and would say the same thing.

But yeah some people are still racist, whether it is white people, black people, brown people, asian people etc... that might happen if a couple white guys tried to get in to a predominantly black or asain club for example.

i dont think it was the clothes they were wearing because, those looser bouncer let some 24 yr lod white guy in with his shirt untucked, so WTF? ya many clubs have a dress code but if you watch the vid none of those clubs had guys wating outside with suits on its bullshit and they should get the ---- kiked out of em for being like that, we all live on the same planet we should all be at the least courtious to one another unless waranted by unfreindly behaviour, dont you agree? This same thing happened to my buddy when we tried to get in at one of those clubs in Calgary. I witnessed this first hand and even told the bouncer he's ------- racial. And we were all in the correct dress code, except for the colour of our skin.

The funny thing is all the girls with us were white so we ended up going to Cowboys and watched line dancing....lol

Sad to say but racism is everywhere, and even right here in toronto. My buddy who is black (Trini) and works for Bell as a technician gets it everyday. Its really driving him crazy and he is thinking of quiting right now. I told him to think about the people who came in the 60's and 70's and what they had to go threw.

So basically my advice to him is to hang in there, until something better comes.

Anyone who thinks racism is a thing of the past, is wide awake in a dream.

 

I can't believe you guys are so surprised by this. The only difference between Canada and the US is that in the US each race of people has a "place" in society that is usually very apparent with an anomaly here and there. You know where you stand and so most don't even put themselves in these situations. In Canada the same attitude is entrenched, but it is carefully disguised as "qualifications" for jobs and "dress codes" for social situations. Canada has always claimed to have a multicultural, equal opportunity society. So why are their visible minority doctors and lawyers driving taxis and high shcool dropouts working as VP's and CEO's from the majority???? Nothing's going to change, so long as the powers that be remain demographically the same. Just do what you can and drive your Teg.
