Honestly, I can see how that would have happened. As an authority figure, it was wrong for him to use the word, but I honestly believe that what the teacher was saying is true. I sincerely doubt that the teather walked in, and point blank, said "Sit down *****".
Regardless, I think 10 days without pay for using a racially inspired slang term is more than enough punishment, and I think that the child is being more than malicious in turning down the appology and demanding that the teacher be fired - sounds like a student who just didn't like his teacher.

Some really don't realize the gravity of the word. I know people that would of waited around for him after school and ---- his ---- up.
Especially in the states you just don't go around saying ---- like that. Whether it's *****, honkey, ***** or any such disrespectful word. It's even worse coming from a teacher.

Typical. When a white person sais "*****" it's such a big deal, but black people call eachother "*****" every single day, ---- in my school they even call white people "*****". The teacher shouldn't of said it though no matter what, but it's only made such a big deal because omg a white person said it?
