Default Pls HELP ASAP! re: removing rear struts

I desperately need help.
I'm trying to replace my rear struts, but I can't get the bottom mounting bolt off!
I tried WD40 (a lot), but the thing just won't budge!
The worst part, one side of the nut broke off! and I still can't get the thing off.
Can anyone help? Any tips on how to remove these things?
Pleeeeeeeaaase help!!!!

Thanks in advance!

chances are the bolts is seized into the lower control arm bushings. its very common to hondas especially when driving in canadian climates.....rust love to eat our cars away.

your only solution now would probably to get 2 new (or used) lower control arm allong with new shock bolts.......

the bolt ur referring to can only be purchased from Honda/Acura i believe i think its about 20-25 dollars for both of them. since ur gonna be replacing the bushing as well i'd suggest removing the sleeved from the control arm and replacing it with an energy suspension bushing.

When i did my suspension a few months ago, i had to grind the bolt on either side of the LCA so the strut was free from the bottom, then removed it. Then i torched out the bushings, they come out very easy with a torch, but after you torch it there is still the final outter ring in the bushing hole thing. You need to cut it on each side so that the pressure is taken off of it and then just put a flat head and a hammer to it and it will come out. I would advise getting Energy suspension bushings. I believe it was $40 for mine.

Good luck.

Thank you very much to all that replied!
I just bought me some Energy Suspension bushings (38 bucks), now I just got to find a replacement bolt. I really don't want to go to Honda dealer just to buy a bolt, so I'm just gonna look around for one that's the exact size. (Crappy Tires by my house says they'll have it as long as I bring them a sample bolt)

Thanks guys...
Well, I did go to Honda to pick up the bolts ($10 each)
I also decided to go to my mechanic after I found out that there was no way for me to remove the bushings.
So... at my mechanic's, he said I should return the Energy Suspension bushing and buy the Acura bushings instead. (He insisted that he's right).
So... off to Acura Sherway I go... Rear bottom bushings = $26 each.
My mechanic had a hell of a time with trying to put those bushings on. lol
But, everything is all good now. Everything's back together and the car rides amazing now!

well yeah... in a sense he is right..

for daily driving, always better to go with oem rubber bushings instead of polyurethane.. no sqeek and less maintenence.
