Default squeeky sound when reversing

i get this squeeking sound when i reverse and the wheel is turned left.. it's really strange and it's coming from the front passenger side.

any ideas of what it could be.. i'm going to jack it up and inspect it tonight.. see if anything looks out of place.

wheel bearings aren't squeeky they make a off balance sort of noise i dunno about in reverse going slow but u will definately hear it while driving fast and sometimes if u turn the wheel off to the left or right it will go away. squeeking could just be ur suspension?

I might have an idea of what it could be because it's been happening to my car for weeks now...and i'm just to lazy to fix it.

Have you done any front end work lately? Brakes by chance?

It could be something as simple as your dust shield rubbing as you reverse.

well, it happens when the car has been sitting for a long time.. e.g. go shopping, reverse out of the parking spot and it'll sqeek...

it's definately not the wheel bearings because i had both fronts replaced fairly recently.

the ONLY thing that has been done in the past 2 or 3 months is the install of my stock springs and koni yellow shocks...

Might have just had the same issue. Squeeking when reversing only. My squeek progressed to squeeking when going forward too. Thought it was the bearing. Diagnosed as wear marker on the rear brakes contacting the rotor and squeeling. Couldn't tell from the outside but from the inner pad it looked worn out. The inner pad wears sooner that the outter pad b/c thats the side where the brake piston strokes from. Could be a different issue though.

the wheel bearing would be more of a constant sound .. grinding instead of squeeking.

Ok so its not the bearing or brakes
Does it sound like its drive line or suspention?
drive line - rubing, wheels, nuckel, shaft,
suspension - bushings, shocks, sway bar links, tierod ends

dose it make the noise if you push around or does it only happen when its under power?

or just turn up the stereo!

i'm with Chyld its part of your suspension. Come to the east end meet tonite if u can.
I saw your bushings are going/gone or maybe a ball joint. open the hood and press on the engine (so u can't dent the fender) and see if u can hear the noise.

it could also be your dust sheilds hitting the rotor..
i'm having this same problem too, but in both foward, and reverse :/
