Default summer rim colour choices....

so.. without doing chops...
i have a couple thoughts

my car is going a flat colour, 2 tone. somewhat similar to a flat charcoal....

i could do flat black spokes with gold lip? (kind of like this idea the best)
bronze spokes/lip with black inner lip?
all bronze?
all flat black?

any thoughts/ideas?

ps. winter wheels are already gunmetal w/ red lip as seen in other thread for my 94 sedan

In my opinion, those american racing wheels are god aweful, I like your winter wheels much much better.

is "god awful" a colour?
if it's that important for you to tell me, my pm box isn't full right now

in any case, they are in rough condition, but that's about the same condition my winter wheels were in before i refinished them also.. so don't worry about that

my winters are 14x5.5, these are 15x7, +34mm offset.. so much nicer

Just flat black.. Plain and simple.. I think that would look best with those wheels

nah i hate spending more than $200 for wheels.. hahaha
these were $120, my winters were $80, have vw estorils 15" that i got for $100 and i had 15x6.5" 5 spokes before that that cost me $120 (sold them)

well.. i won't do that, looks too much like steelies with only black, need something to set them off.. i'll never do just straight black or gunmetal cause of that

i already know the colour my car is going.. and i've made a decision on the wheels...

here's some of today's progress:

initial peeling/corrosion

paint stripper

some extra sanding on the lip and spokes

not much left to do for prep now

polish the lip and the face of the spokes and flat black everything else. you're almost there already.

If you have coloured centres with a different colour or polished lip they will look tiny.

i appreciate the comments.. both good and bad

for those that don't like them... that your prerogative.. doesn't bother me

i like the older-style wheels rather than what most other people have, keeps it different
i'm not a fan of 7+ spoke wheels, i like 6 or less, and i like thick spokes

for the longest time i was looking for hammerheads, but i can't fathom paying $3-400+ for them when i got these for a fraction of the price, and they're wider, and i think lighter, and lower offset.. will have to remeasure the weight before i get tires on them

as per them looking tiny with a different colour lip, i beg to differ.. buff4prez will remember when i had motegi ff6 in 16" with 205/45/16 tires.. gunmetal with polished lip, and when i had those on the car, that's when i decided i wanted to go smaller with a 15" rim, so putting a polished or coloured lip will look just fine to me.. 15" tires are just much easier to find

so all in all, i totally understand some people won't like my direction with my car.. but if you want it to go a different direction, feel free to pm me a price to buy the car, then you can do with it what you will
