you can replace it with the piece found on the 08 EXL and SI. the lower models have the keyhole. the part costs about $100. alternatively you remove it and rattle can it for less, which would be kinda cool since your part has a curve in it.

there's not much to do to it anyway. i was done, except i have to buy the rest of the hfp kit to cover up the dent on my rocker panel

if you are getting the csx console box you might as well pick up the csx glove box light too. it's about $30.

Nice car... I got the exact same ride, but with the OEM skirt package, picked it up in Feb (damn interest rate fell in March)......

I hear you on the subtle mods... getting the HFP Suspension Kit from College Hills Honda... prolly leave it at that until theres a kpro for civic si's

Congrats!

Thanks.
I personally dont mind the chrome, but you can just simply remove it if you like... pop the trunk, 1 screw, 6 clips.. its painted underneath.

Nice pickup Tony! I drove Jeff's FA last year when he bought it and boy did it put a huge smile on my face. I love the color you chose.

+1 on the color matching. I think it would look subtle if the grill and the chrome trim was color matched with the rest of the car. Im not sure what honda was thinking with the chrome trunk piece as it seems to be the only chrome piece on the exterior besides the emblems.

Just spend all your mod money on some nice set of coilovers and HID's/Yellow Fogs and your done! Couldn't have chosen a better ride for what you were intending to use it for.

Promise yourself all you want... lol

I think HFP suspension and kit... and you are set.

I remember meeting up with Jeff and seeing his FA5... love at first sight. I really love the rims these come with stock now.

LOL. This is one of the first things Jeff did to his EL when he got it. True story!

And stop listening to the other Jeff (dc24me) LOL. Next thing you know you've got a slammed FA on 17x8 Volks w/ the Mugen kit on. LOL. I kid.

Congratulations on the new car. I honestly wouldn't do much different if I was in the market for a new car right now. But I haven't started my new job yet, and when I do I still have lots of bills I'd rather take care of first. Otherwise, there would most likely be one of these sitting on my driveway as I type this.

I'm still debating whether or not I should buy the HFP suspension from CHH.

I don't hate the chrome, but i'd prefer it body matched.
34254-sna-003. i didn't see a connector. it's just a 12v and ground. there's a diy where someguy ran a wire behind the glovebox and stuck jammed it with a fuse in the fusebox. a better spot would be to tap into constant power wire going to the dome lights. it will be fused and will be very oem.

for the money they are want for the hfp sus, buy now, think later unless you want to go lower. i'm not a fan of the the wheel gap and from what i understand, the hfp struts are just shorted stock shocks. i'll go the koni yellow route probably once the stocks blow (not really a new mod, wear and tear replacement is my excuse)

the chrome isn't that bad on the back. at least it goes with the wheels and draws attention away from the hideous spoiler. it looks good from the front and the sides, the from the back it looks gross.

ha, ha... wait a sec, wasn't i the first one to remind him that he said he was done modding? slamming isn't practical for a dd and mugen kits are a waste of money especially on a daily driver and will get busted up. hfp kit or nothing!! p.s. my fa5 is not a money pit or will ever be one like the integra.

The HFP arent just shorter stock shocks, they are shorter and the internals are different, hence the massive improvement in handling/cornering.
