Default Simple = Always better

A 94-97 DC done right. No gay body kits, no cheesy stickers, no gay splitters/winglets or anyother trendy jdm bullshit on the car. Nothing overdone. Its clean and straight to the point. Paint this car any other color with the same exterior mods and it still looks good.

I think I was one of if not the 1st to do it so maybe it is a Toronto thing. IMO the colour matched bar is ugly. My EG hatch had it done too.

You wield on new metal to complete the delete. Then filler, fibreglass, and primer, then it can be painted.

Agreed. I believe this holds very true just for the simple fact that the rims are a neutral colour - silver.

Spoon SW388 or Desmond Regamaster EVO

can you afford $1700 for wheels?

all of Rota's wheels are replicas of other wheels that usually cost a small fortune.

I cringe when I see what volks, SSR, Work etc cost for my car (usually 19's and 10 inches wide) lol its insane.

Volks, Advans, Spoons and Desmonds are not THAT expensive. For the price of a set of 15-16's for a 4x100 application is affordable. If people quit spending money on useless ---- like stickers, new driver badges, "JDM" dolls, towhooks and especially knockoff wheels they can put the money spent on that towards a set of authentic wheels.

1700 is not a small fortune, you should see the prices for wheels on cars like the S2000, 350z/g37, BMW'S. 5k for a set of BBS's now thats a fortune.

to some ppl $1700 is a small fortune. other ppl can't justify spending that kind of money on wheels when the knock offs give the same look they're looking for. you gotta see it from their side too.

i'm looking to get a set of something authentic, just dunno which ones yet. those SSR's in the FS section would be mine if i was working.

It's not dropping $1700, it's dropping $1700 at one time. If people add up the money they have in their stereo, intake, header, exhaust and the set of knockoff rims, they can EASILY afford a nice set of rims. I/H/E are useless on a street car, but they don't realize that. And they've never spent more than $500 at one time. $1700 seems like a lot, but it isn't.

Heck, I've got close to that much in my camera bag, but it doesn't seem like it since I've never spent more than $500 for any one item.

My thoughts exactly.

I was trollin the E90 boards and those guys are dropping 5-7k easily on wheels, now thats a lot of coin to drop in one spot.

i'd rather have stock/oem wheels than put a set of knockoffs on my car. and yes, i practice what i preach. (x2)

wheels make or break the car.

at the end of the day it depends on the person's budget, i definatly prefer OEM wheels or name brand wheels as to knockoff wheels because of the quality. the last thing you want to do is to bend one or two knockoff wheels and have to buy two more; could have just bought name brand wheels from the get-go.
