haven't posted in awhile (i've gone into hibernation mode), thought i'd share a couple pics of the beater i just picked up......

bobcaygeon is where i've been calling home (in a shack-like tree fort)

yes Amanda, the doggy LOVES the truck!
we kept the cars but took the insurance off them and use this beast (not the cheapest thing on gas, but i love the 4x4 ability to go almost anywhere)

Bobcaygeon has some awsome off road trails, they are pretty hardcore tho.
We did the some off roading near Mindon (sp?) just north of there.

For those interested...

It has a 2.5" lift and rides on 31" tires.

Despite an independent front suspension, it does pretty well with the big boys!

yup, Minden is about 40mins north of our place

i haven't ventured deep into the trails with the truck yet. Our "road" is trail enough. Jump on an ATV and it's a whole other world though. OSF trail 102 is AWESOME!!!, can't wait for some more snow to fall so we can go snowmobiling.

i've been driving my winter beater.. well... summer beater.. wtf... all season beater!

good luck with the 4x4 in the winter... it will drink gas like you wouldn't believe.

i drive a 98 4runner.. and man.. fuel economy sucks...
