Default picked up a telephoto lense...

shooting with wayne's canon telephoto lense the other day made me want one, so i picked up a new telephoto lense today, i can't wait to get out and do some shooting with it. picked up a sigma 50-500mm f4-6.3 EX DG telephoto lense *phew* (say that 3 times fast). is spring here yet?

The fifty is one of the cheapest lenses you can buy even brand new, I dont know what youre waiting for unless you call 119.99 expensive for a great lens...

From looking around this lens goes for close to a $1000 even on ebay (unless I'm looking at the wrong one).

He's talking about the 50 1.8, not the 50-500.

You are looknig at the wrong one, there are 3 versions of that lens, the regular, the DG and the DG HSM

Oh ok thanks for correcting me.. Ebay doesnt have the regular one, only the HSM. What is this lens worth?

MSRP on this lense was $1409usd i found, i picked it up for $800(cash) with only 2 captures taken on it

I think i'm good for gear now..LOL

i allready filled up that camera bag i just bought o_O

mark: you should pick up that lense that john has for sale, it's a sick deal for that kind of lense IMO. i'm suprized nobody has jumped on that yet.

So much technical jabber. I'm not cut out for this...

Mind you i'd love to get into photography.

Any suggestions/recommendations on a nifty digital camera that I could pick up from you photo -----s out there?
