Cackywheels is overpriced.

The only places i've found online, besides private sellers, to buy wheels like that are ICB Motorsports, Cackywheels, and memoryfab.com. MemoryFab is the only one i would recommend, when inquiring about wheels, i was treated poorly by both other places. ICB motorsports wanted to charge $800USD to ship 4 wheels alone from Cali to Ontario

That offset would look crazy tho. Just like Alex' 16 x 8 TE37's.

$800 is steep for shipping. Shouldn't be over $200USD i think.

it would be even crazier as alex's te37s are +38.

i wonder if it's possible for a wheel repair shop to take a couple of mm off the hub with a lathe.

possible, but who knows if thats safe.
Yeah those rims would look nice. but youd have to be higher than I am or run lots of camber. I tried a 5mm spacer on mine and it rubbed pretty bad.

rims from cali are so overpriced. $800 for shipping!wtf

Usually you can machine a few MM off the hub surface, as long as there's enough meat on them.

10mm on those +32s is a bit much though.

Only one way to find out.....BUY THEM!

the plugs are for running with out a battery, track cars that never drop rpm's can run with no battery if driven well. it saves 5-10 pounds over the lightest batteries and with a god alternator and ignition setup you'll see no losses in spark.. but it's over car for a car that isn't track only.

Ship them to buffalo along with tires from tirerack or check out an online vendor via H-T, jdm universe, team-integra. Or go in on a group buy for tires in your size get them mounted at wal-mart.

You can drive down and run on steelies and worn tires. You just come back with some new shoes and tires but stay in the states for a day or the weekend ( as NOT to show attention). Tell them that you are going to visit the Seneca casino, US falls, the US state park or Darien lake. Ive done it many timeswhen I don't have a scheduled road trip/fligght to see family in the states.

Even with the time, gas and work it's still way cheaper since the cdn $ is strong and you save on shipping, taxes (GST) AND duties.

either the USPS depot or the many small "mailbox" or usaddress places avail over the niagara/buffalo border. ICBmotorsports can do it cheaper if you get someone down there (if you are asian you MUST have a family member [i.e cousin, gf family member, long lost uncle lol ]in SoCal to pay $ always trumps a "no" - that is from experience I bought a lot of new JDM Honda parts from them back in 02/03 new to flip on honda/import sites.) They even have a vendor who works at ICBmoto on H-T.

^ Its not just that, ICB picks and chooses who they sell wheels to, which is kind of a stupid practice IMO. They are well known for that.

wtf? my wheels are coming from cali and only shipping is only $80? but i have to take care of customs myself. that's also with UPS ground. approx a week but expecting more.

and stOOpid question, but i'm getting a 42+ offset, that means i'll have less of a lip than a +38 right?

not necessarily, depends on the wheel, it means your wheel will sit snugger to your hub and stick out less.

Boo for ICBmotorsports
And Boo for N1Concepts.com for taking u197492797429797 years in getting me my wheels.

42-45 offset is the norm for DC but i want a low offset so it kinda sticks out.

Here's a nice thread that Alex found some hawt ones.

UPS Ground? Get ready to get raped on customs and brokerage charges from UPS.

And yes, +42 offset means you dont really have a lip.

I used to love the blitz but for some reason, I don't think it goes well with the R. It might be the rivets but I cant put my finger on it. $800 USD + shipping is cheap nontheless.

It depends on the value of what youre bringing over. I got charged almost $100 bucks for brokerage fees for my spoon mirrors.

UPS brokerage is usually more than GST & PST (which you usually have to pay as well = 28% and up depending on where the item was manufactured.

USPS is flat rate $5 US which you pay to canada post but we already know the BS you went with them.

If you dont' agree with the brokerage you can tell them to leave them at the border and you can pick them up. You still have ot pay the taxes and it might Windsor/detriot or even worse the seattle/vancouver border. In any case I get them shipped to buffale and do not declare.

Brokerage Fees = a couple of forms, the shipping company fills out to import/export the item for you internationally.

UPS/fedex/DHL varying amonts of brokerage fees depending on how they value the item not but what YOU paid. sometimes you don't have to pay but when you do they should include vasoline for the ---- rapage.:dunno:

can't send rims as gifts (don't quote me on that)

And don't forget when it comes from a legit business they won't undervalue sometimes because you actually get the shaft.

you generally need to move a lot closer to zero to get a lip, otherwise it's the design of the wheel. but fuzzy, 42-44 offsets will clear your wheelwells and you'll be able to slam.

+1 for the -1 on those blitzs. if they were a higher offset and were able to tuck somewhat in the wheel well, they would look alright, but because they stick out so much and the wheel is so busy, it looks kinda gay. alex's te37s look good because the wheel is a simple design, imo.

erick, those polished 16" cp-r are fs actually... i saw him post in one of the slammed integra threads... +45 too!!!

Yeah after seeing Alex's TE's I dont think I would ever buy TE's in a +42 offset. I hate the way a +42 makes the spokes on the TE's so flat.

DIY brokering is a hassle. The item comes to your local depot, but you have to notify the shipper as soon as the item ships that you'll clear customs yourself. When it arrives, you go to the shipper and pick up the forms, take them to your customs office (usually the airport is the closest one), pay, then go back to the shipper. Since they are all 9-5 type businesses, take a day off of work to get this done.

Of course, you might be able to get off paying for half the brokerage now, and half in 2 weeks. Just don't show up at 11:30pm!
