if i am going to question someones' double standards and point possible flaws in their logic, i'm going to cite or refer to what they posted. it doesn't take too much time to just do a post search on a poster to find out what they have said in the past. in these cases, i found them within a minute. whenever i find someone with complaining about people hating, 99% of the time they are doing the same thing. practice what you preach.

Lets get this straight,
1. I could care less about civics in any form and i believe everyone has witnessed that already. Call me the hater but I only went on TCC for the several days that we didnt have the TI website working.
2. I drive an integra, I respect other integras.
So.... what does my references to TCC and my opinions about integras have any relation to each other?
it shows demonstrates how inconsistent you are. you have an issue with people expressing their disapproval or posting negative comments, yet you refer to tcc forum members as ricers. (which i agree with you on that one)

1. integras are essentially civics.
2. do you respect integras with celica lights?

in the end, it's your car, do whatever you want. if you post your car, you're obviously looking for props. if you get negative comments, don't whine about it because you can't impress everyone.

except celica headlights on an integra which is acceptable for everyone to hate on.

peace out everyone and don't get your panties all tied up. it's just a car and it's just the internet.

God my car was ugly... what the hell was I thinking?

I want to get in on this thread, but I think I should just keep my mouth shut. I'm one of the biggest haters around, but I know this and I know the kind of trouble I get myself into haha.

At the end of the day, I wish people had more creativity in their builds. I see way too many CW Civics & Integras roaming the streets and I just don't understand the big deal. If you're going through all the trouble to change your colour, why don't you go with something a little more exciting? Hell, if you really like white, at least pick one that doesn't turn yellow after 6 months.

**EDIT: I should shut up... my last 3 cars have been Gunmetal HAHAHA

I completely agree with this but what if creativity to one person isn't the same to the other person.

I can understand if you have been into cars for awhile and see all the same thing.

Just so everyone knows this isn't a GTA car and in the city it is from there is only one other JDM front Integra (2 dr)

In April's case, she loves the 4dr type r and always has. So she set out to have a car that she liked and to her that was creativity. Just because it isnt original to everyone else doesn't mean it isn't original to the owner. I don't care if there are 25 JDM front end integras in GTA this one is original to the owner and thats that

Of course this is the internet and people are going to bitch and complain and say what they want and there is no problem with that but in this thread it is just too much. If you have an opinion feel free to express it once, not over and over again because you are disrespecting the owner and I don't think that is fair.

Please also keep your opinions about me out of this thread as this isn't my car.

do you see anyone hating on that?
no because it was your choice and maybe you like the colour gunmetal. At the end of the day it is your car and no ones opinions are going to change that.

I hope from now one we can keep this thread on topic because the other BS isn't called for.

In closing I have to say props to April for building a car you liked and doing more to it in the 11 months you have owned it then some people would have in the same amount of time.

Thanks

Believe me... I get hated on all the time, but I take it in stride and laugh about it. I absolutely HATE gunmetal cars at this point hahaha.

If I was serious enough about the DB I had, I would have changed the color on that. When I was building the Sol, I needed it to look more manly so I painted it something meaner. Lastly, the IS was too good of a deal to pass up... but that's going into the shop in January for a colour change so it'll all be history next year.

As for creativity, I'm talking in general here... if building an ITR/CTR replica is your dream, go for it... no one's stopping you. I just WISH people would look past the whole NH0 look and move on, Honda hasn't produced these cars in over 7 years now. At the end of the day, if you're going to do something (ie. build a complete ITR/CTR Replica), do it well, let the build speak for itself, and tell everyone else to F*** off. I like the car, I LOVE that it's a DB, but I wish she would have spent the extra $600-700 to strip and paint the bay while the motor was out.

I was gonna say, why didnt she paint the bay at the same time the whole car was getting repainted. The motor was gonna come out anyways.

Well I got bitched out yesterday for some comments that I had made in the past. Let me tell you after having thought about it for a day it actually grounded me and as cheesy as it sounds found my self thinking " cant we all just get along ". Anyways, I think that we are all hypocrits or " haters " in some ways but me might just not see it now.

As an aside, I visit Japan about three times a year and I have to tell you, we all think that there are crazy JDM cars ( or supoku cars) ripping around the streets and it is a virtual street race all the time. Well it's not. Its just like here, people do up their cars however they want, so just enjoy your ride however you like it.

1) I don't think anyone's talking about Japan here

2) JDM is homo, do a car how you want to do it

All valid points, painting the bay is a definite plan for the future, at the time I swapped the motor I really needed to do it as quick as possible cuz A) part of the deal on the motor was that I give up my stock motor and the seller needed it asap, and B) at the time I did the body work I didn't want to pull out the motor just to do the bay when I knew that I was gonna do a swap and/or a build eventually.

With the deal I got, I had to make the quick decision that night to just swap it in or else it wouldn't have gotten done for until at least after the weekend and since my tranny was already out I needed a working car, so I said let's not do the bay yet and when/if I build the motor I can do all that work in the winter.

I am storing it over the winter and getting some more work done so it makes more sense to me to do it then as opposed to now. It will also give me more time to save up more money as I am a poor university student lol. I am already pulling extra overtime shifts as it is.

anyway for anyone that is curious:

98 Spec ITR swap with act 8.8 flywheel and brand new stock ITR clutch and pressure plate
B16 Tranny
Skunk2 Pro Series cam gears
AEM Hybrid series CAI
Hytech Production Series Header
2.5" vibrant highflow cat
