My ipad install; first ever on a teg?

My ipad install; first ever on a teg?
I bought my teg with the stereo stuck on 'code'. I've gotten tired of driving around in silence, so I decided to do something about it.. I could have bought a double din stereo with all the goodies for like 900 or something, but I had a better idea.. After doing some measurements and research I went out and bought myself an iPad for a good price off of kijiji. So here's how I spent my day off
I started with removing the stereo, it didn't really want to come out but I won
Also removed the neverbeforeused ashtray.
Got the rest of it out after finding the hidden screws
To get the bottom piece of the console out, I had to remove the armrest part of the console. I found some interesting things under there... a pen cap; useless without a pen, some hair clips; might have lice, and a candy; which i chose not to eat.
Everything removed
Using a dremel equipped with self destructing discs, and some bigass safety glasses, i started cutting out the bottom of the console to fit the ipad. Cut a bit, start the car, put it in L, install the console, dust off, test fit the ipad, remove, put in park, switch engine off. Repeat about 10 times.
Test fit. Note the big gap at the top.
This piece of wood... well not this exact piece, I had to redo it with a better groove , would be the bottom bracket.
It's starting to look good!
Drilled a hole for the bottom connection. This later got drilled out with a 1.5'' hole saw, to prevent damage to the connection when installing and removing the ipad.
the completed bracket, I know it doesn't look to convincing.. but wait for it
The result of a days struggle. I put a cover on the ipad to prevent damage and help it fit more snug.
Gotta clean my interior now
My car looks really shitty when removed.
And that's it. I hope to inspire everyone else to try something different on their tegs.
Now all that's left is to buy an ipod compatible stereo and hook it up to the old stereo's harness and ipad. Also have to find an appropriate place to install it. I'm also debating if I should remove the rubber cover on the ipad or not. Suggestions?

Its cool.
Just wouldn't work for me. I sit in the car to put it in D and listen to music as I drive. Thats pretty much it. Still +1 awesome points for doing something unique.
