Default My first day working at Shoppers World, and i get a nice welcoming gift.. :( *pics*

outside having a smoke with my co-worker and i hear a crunch along with my alarm... *great* i thought. Lady turned too sharp and ended up hitting the corner of my bumper and scratched the rear half side of her windstar. Ripped off my plate too.

Security came and all of a sudden a crowd started to happen lol. Exchanged information and the lady will pay for the damages at a shop she happens to be good friends with.

It's not as bad as it looks but if you're like me, every little detail matters. Should I ask for a whole new bumper along with it repainted fresh? or just try and fix this up (mind you, it's like paper that's crushed and can't be smoothed out). Being that she's good friends with the shop owner, i would imagine they would try and take the easiest way out..

and for sh*ts and giggles, here's a pic of a g2 i took as well sorry if this is someone's car on here!

sorry to hear about your car!

unfortunatly no shopping mall is safe, but from my experiences at shoppers world, alot of dumb people who like to do hit and runs in your case she didn't run lol. Whatever you do dont park infront of canadian tire its so congested and people drive extra stupid in that particular part of the lot.

Do not let her take charge of the situation - it's your car, her fault, choose a shop that will deal with you and do what pleases you. My suggestion is don't even go to the shop that she suggests.

the last thing you want is to have your bumper painted and get overspray all over your lights and lip and have the paint flake off because the surface wasn't properly prepped.

get some estimates from some reputable shops that you trust and have her compensate you fairly for the damages.

I've been in a couple of these situations with previous cars and I had a standard contract drawn up from a law student friend of mine. If you're interested I can email it to you.

How retarded do you have to be to hit someone in a parking lot...your doing Max..30-40 km/h, WAY slower while turning.....It's the avoidable accidents that get me worked up....Sorry to hear man,

James

Like 50% of people on the roads can drive properly and only like 15% can drive well. The drivers license system is a joke.

---- that sucks man, but, i would advise against taking it to her shop where "she's good friends with the owner". ---- that. by law you can take it to whatever shop you want to.

you're lucky the girl was @ least honest...few years back, in the first week of owning my G2; some ------- hit and run..it cost me $500 to replace a whole door

My advice to you is, take it to the Acura dealership, get them to write down a quote for you, ask her for that much money, and then go somewhere you'd normally go and get it done for cheaper
