Dave YO - yea, im painting it myself, either myself or my dad, not gonna shave my side mouldings though, I like it better w/ the side mouldings, more old school look. And I already have access to the good stuff to mask up the car ... thanks for the pointers guys. Oh yea, wondering how you guys remove your windshields or if you know any way to possibly do it, I have some rust to fix there, and I need a new windshield anyways.. any tips?
since your window is already broken id take andrews idea and smash it out. makes a ton of mess tho and be sure to cover the vents
also look in the phonebook there are mobile window guys that will come remove/install

theres a tool at princess auyo you can buy. but if your window has been replaced before it will be a bitch to get out. usually they use an excessive amount of urethane when installing windows

use a hammer there is no point spending money to get it out when it's already broken...might as well have some fun and smach it...
and when your installing one...then take it to a shop and get it installed.....
but i love it...i want to see more pics~!!!!

You will see more pics tmrw.. when i get the damn windshield out, the only thing stopping me from breaking it, is the mess.. i might tape some sheet in behind for when i smash it, but its worth trying the tool first, and if that doesnt work, you can always return it.. , but i think im gonna install it myself, might end up getting the lexan windows all around

Well.. officially done all the patches inside and out, tmrw my whole interior should be done, and painted black. I have all the parts that are gonna be used for a bit painted in flat black, gonna go buy an engine stand and pull the engine for the summer... and picking up my project engine, with the parts I want, I hope to be putting down about 300whp, and thats it. Well onto the pics of patches and such.
Gonna be welding the windshield patch tmrw, and believe it or not, in front of the sunroof there, and along the sides of the windshield, atlease like 1/2 inch of filler, I seriously wanted to cry. Anyhow, thanks for looking.

well.. i figure its time i updated this... all the body work is done, and she goes in for paint at the beginning of spring, rims have been acquired (track and show and daily). The cf roof cap will be ordered soon also. I have my project engine in my garage, and im gonna start ripping it apart once I get some spare time. I hope to be attending a whole lot of track days with it this summer and also shows. The complete build wont be done till around spring of 2010, because I have to acquire a lot of parts, Im going to do little things over the winter in the garage, I dont have that much space to work.. so Im gonna do what I can. Also, what do you guys know about fuel tank relocation? I need some input, because I will be picking up a beater probably next year, and this one is going to be seeing strict track duty, so im going all out. Thanks guys.

lol. the first time I ripped out all the carpet, it was like a beach in my trunk, sand everywhere and the sunroof drain plugs were all clogged up, someone put a stopper in one so thats why my trunk was so messed up, and they bent back the rocker panels, and welded on some stainless steel side skirts, so my rocker panels got pwned... i now have to fab up some rocker panels, maybe use angle iro or something.

because with a fuel cell (tahts what i meant by the tank relocation).. equals less weight... and im not gonna need tons of gas, thats what the odyssey+jerry cans is for. lol.

He's determined, I know he'll do it!
Let me know if you need any help
P.S. That does not include parts from the Caribbean! Saw a DC with USDM front this morning on the way to Georgetown, red in colour. And a blue JDM DC in Barbados lol!

so you just used sheet metal huh, i was thinking of going with angle iron because its stronger, and then welding it onto the body instead of drilling holes, sheet metal might work too, because I jsut need something there to support the side skirts really. any pics of your rockers?
#64
as of now its real dirty lol.. but i'll try n take some pics for you....see i stayed as far away from welding as much as i could... what happens with weldin new things on is the metal from the body is weak from the years so it'll warp and by the time ur done and slap on paint.. it'll all be wavey as ----...
