Default Money Shot...

Just a couple *** shots I took today, hope it's not too offensive. The car should be road ready by next week, she'll be at Performance World March 10-12.

Yup, it's the Del Sol... pulled a 3 month Overhaulin' on it. There's still tons of work to do: undercoating, exhaust, finish the audio... I can't believe what I got myself into.

Sujeev> My other cars weren't SHOW cars haha, just kinda flashy. This is the first car I built built... complete for track & show from the bottom up.

I'm so exhausted, but it's a labour of love... something I always said I would do 1 day.

Yeah, just using some crappy tire undercoating and then an oil spray in certain areas. I was going to use some heavier-duty stuff, but it would have been too heavy. Plus, it's going to be dirty in about a month anyways haha. It was really just to make me feel better.

Oh, and the paint is from a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege (Titanium Pearl). It's pretty sick, looks light (almost silver) in the direct sunlight and then dark at night, almost like my old Integra.

I really wanted to do it Moonrock Pearl from the JDM S2000's, but I couldn't find the right paint code. Good thing though, they're releasing Moonrock AP2's this year in NA

Jeff: Yeah, the C's have a thinner lip than the Pro's... I also like them because they're a 7.5" width, while the Pro's are only 7"s.

Sujeev: Precision charges depending on what you want done, condition of wheels, size, etc. Ric can do some crazy things... he did a set of winter wheels for my buddy, custom colour matched on the inside spokes with a full machined face - CRAZY. He does outstanding work, and even though his prices might be a little more than a Carcone's or Wheel Fix, his quality speaks for itself.

It's 4:30 right now and I just got home from the shop! I'm freakin exhausted, but the car's almost ready to go. I spent the last 4 hours making a custom half mid-pipe to bolt up to this bad boy:

It's a Fujitsubo Power Getter catback, but it was for an EG/EK so I had to completely forget the front portion of the mid-pipe and make my own. The Fuji is 60mm and we custom made a 2.5" piece with all Vibrant components: High Flow Metal-Core Cat, High Flow Interlock Flex Pipe, Ultra Quet Resonator, stainless piping, flanges, and gaskets.

I can't wait to fire her up tomorrow and hear this sucker.

Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm just sooo tired and excited because I'm in the final phases of the project.

Here's 1 more picture of my trunk X-Brace setup:

John> Sorry mang, should have called or dropped by... you know where to find me haha. As for the T1R, Speedstar is a waste of time... Albert said, come by anytime, the exhaust will be in stock. What happens? I go there and, of course, no stock.. guy there says he has to check his "warehouse" and will call me back. Did I get a call? Of course not, so whatever... I splurged and bought something WAY better.

Jonn> Thanks man, I think so too.. but don't get me wrong, if I came by Pro's for a good price I wouldn't have passed those up haha.

So the truth is out, Vince went crazy hahaha... it's cool guys

Vince = Broke

The car still needs a proper intake, that was a cut up B18 pipe... I couldn't find anything to fit properly in time.

Wayne>> I guess it depends on the wheel & size, but just getting the lips machined and cleared is like $75-90/wheel... I think. I can ask for you, just give me specs of your wheels and I'll get you a definite answer from Precision.

Here are some more shots:
