those don't look like rivets, they look like phillips screws! unless it is a track car, i don't see the point... although i'd sooner do something like this than an ugly widebody.

i thought the purpose of not having tires come out is so that if a car swiped you, the fenders will prevent the tire from causing damage to the other car or human beings.

i remember learning that from somewhere.

my understanding is that its prevents the tires from kicking stuff up in the air :shurg:
