Your build looks pretty good there I will stay thats a lot of welding there on it .............See my friend sent you pics of my samba green one yea the paint is shinnig for being two+ years old................cover looks great I have a real one.........Not trying to be rude or anything but you know that cover is not a real one right?...............keep up the good work ill check back so often need an help let me know not on this site much so it new to me

Progress is amazing! I dont know if I missed it or not, or maybe you havent mentioned it. What rims are you thinking of going with? Its a pretty powerful colour, so your rims better follow suit!

I know. The car deserves better.
The rims are a 16" classic 5 star with a platinum finish. There made by Fast.
195/50R16 street tire and rim is a 16x7

I feel the classic 5 star will be more of a period correct look. Which is what my goal is with the whole build. An 16" was a big rim back then.

I agree with that. I was taught well. It takes a life time to learn the trades, some have to jump in and very little are raised on it now a days.
I have workd a job in every trade and did well for myself. But this is where my comfort zone is

If you know anybody whos interested. Its restored to original from the ground up, with a twist. All body parts are oem or jdm period correct style. NO cut corners. everthing works like a clock and its fully servicable from coast to coast. This will prolly be the most practicle da that you will ever see. LMK....
