I also have 2 friends that are nurses - they get decent pay but not "rolling around in new mercedes and bmws while having a nice place" money.

what b18c5er says I completely agree with... if she wants to drive a brand new bmw and live with ther parents... then so be it... although... IMO... housing would come first for me... before a fancy car... hey .. I'll always have my DA ... lol... yea... Jeff... I guess thats the kind of money shes hoping for... good luck... lol

but the fact of the matter is, a 6 series bimmer aint happening on a nurses salary, unless shes nursing a doctor . The insurance, payments, and gas would be more the entire monthly paycheque. Pure dreamer...

Qft my mom is a nurse she gets nice pay but she still rollin in a 92 accord

well haha she did have my and my little brother so that a factor also but you get the idea .............i think

By the sounds of things, it seems like your not a very mechanical person.. Correct me if im wrong, but are you planning on doing the tranny swap yourself? Do you know how much work that is involved? If I were you, I would get it done at a shop. Or if you have a friend that is a mechanic or something.. I just wouldnt want to see a tranny sitting on the side of the road.
