happen to me the other nite. just didnt endo. smoke came out of my engine though for a sec. almost blew my head gasket !!!

no... miss-shift badly. luckly the car is fine, did redline all gears.

1st gear(smoked him by this point), 2nd gear, slamming it in which i thought was 3rd gear..

grinded so bad, trying to slam it in twice, it didnt get a chance to go in 1st gear so thats good. (i got smoked) . lol

this wouldnt happen if i had a short shifter, right???

no man a short shifter does fuckall for that you have to learn where your gears are. third is in the middle not to the left. A short shifter just is a shorter throw and gives you a little bit quicker of a shift.
