Ok I'm bored and i know we haven't had a wheel thread yet. I saw it on honda-tech awhile back and was just wondering what wheels you guy's are riding on? as well as tire brand and size.

My opinion is 16's are a perfect wheel for any honda/acura i feel 17s are too big, and 15's are too small for the street's. That's just my opinion. Anyway's post some pics of your wheels, and tires. ok thanks.

Steelie looking rims says the guy who doesn't spend over $2g's on rims that looked like they were painted with a $10 spray can. Honestly, Spoon rims are probably the worse rims I've seen. That's my opinion man, so you won't be able to convince me. Spending the amount of money people do to get em makes me question humanity, and whether we still have sane people here.

Spoon rims were made because they're light weight, strong and clear the spoon calipers. They race rims and that's why they were made.

I understand that, and I'll support any driver who buys em and races their car. But if you put em on so honda-tech users can give you a thumb up...I find that retarded.

I hate the owners for the people that buy them because of the sticker price.

Mainly price though. I know they're light and all, but if you buy imitations and use the left over money for engine mods, you'll run better numbers on any type of race. regamaster Evo's, Spoon, Nippon Wheels, Rota Slipstream, they're all good, I only hate hypocritical comments by people who waste their money to get some dudes from somewhere in the states on some site to tell them they're cool because they have an expensive part.

I know a lot of people are fans of black, but I think it makes the car look worse. That's my opinion, I know many people can argue that for 30 pages of this thread. I just think when someone says a retarded fucken comment about someone elses car and they're being hypocrites, they should shut up that's all. BUT i hate rota owners who knock on the real rims. your buying rims that copy the style of the real ones so how can you hate on a guy for buying the real ones. Its their money. If you want to spend your money on "engine mods" then thats good for you, but not everyone is trying to build the fastest car on the block.

no, rotas aren't real wheels because they are knockoffs. they're immitations and knockoffs of the real thing. to ME, it's just as cheesy as someone buying a fake LV, gucci or coach handbag. i never implied that rotas can't stand up to normal track conditions and why do you so have such hatred for people who spend money on the real thing and can appreciate it? how much did you spend on those 17" subzeros you had on your old gsr and how much did they weigh? you could have just stuck with your stock wheels and got some better rubber on them.

you're right, i don't track my car, but it's not by choice. i didn't put it on the road this year, but hopefully i can get some seat time next year.

Rotas explicitly say ROTAS on them, where as fake LV says LV on it. There is a glaring difference. 17" rotas weight around 17 lbs, a lot lighter than your stock rims, or other stock cast rims, for less than $1000 CAD. Don't assume anything, because you end up making an ass of just yourself, not you and me.

Now lets talk about you, you spend big dollars on "real" wheels and a JDM front, but your car is rusting away from under you. Great financial management:laugh1: , all for the sake of getting some kid on H-T to give you some kudos.........:jack:, because you have the real thing. Be honest now, don't you think that money would have been better spent on other areas of your car that need work?

As for seat time, unfortunately, I didn't want to break anything and have to shell out money that I was saving to get married and buy a house...................You know, the things that people do when they grow up and stop wasting money putting mods on a car for modding it sake. I did take the car to the drags once or twice, but it wasn't my thing.

The lesson that I learned is, its one thing to mod a car for a purpose, i.e for track, for autox, etc. Its another thing to mod it just to have the lastest bling race parts on a daily driver, its just a waste of money. Thats something that seems to happen a lot on T-I.

i got the front end in 2002. the car wasn't rusting back then. it's rusting now because it's an eleven year old daily driven 365 days per year, sat outside honda that wasn't rustproofed properly. duh.

Do the math and you will see that those add up to way more than 2 lbs/ wheel:owned: So I actually reduced overall weight (rotational and unsprung) by going with a larger wheel and the brake kit.

No, its every time you open your mouth and talk ---- about Rota wheels that I'll jump in. My M3 has cast wheels on it now, I sold the forged 19s and got the cast ZCP/CSL wheels that are actually lighter, surprise surprise. If BMW can put cast wheels on their flagship ///M car, its good enough for me, and no Rota doesn't make wheels in my ofset, or I would rock them for track wheels.

As for dropping large on an Integra, it was a daily driven car in any season except winter, and it was a helluva lot of fun. Do you even have a video of your car at track/autox/drag? I do, so pull your head outta your ass and stop making assumptions about my old Integra.

Yes, I do have first hand experience, after chaging out pads and fluid, and not being satisfied with still getting brake fade, I went with larger rotors for bigger heat capacity. Then years later, I bought wilwood calipers and pads to fit them, for better pedal feel. The resulting combination was light years ahead of any stock brake system, and anyone who drove my car could tell you that.

1. All I am saying is that its a waste of money to mod a car just for the sake of modding it. Thats my opinion formed from experience. I bought the M3 because I didn't want to do the modding thing again, and I've only modded in a way to take advantage of those events that I particpate in, or plan on doing.

2. Forget about the M3, part of the way the Integra was modded was to make it a more fun daily driver, but part of it was just throwing away money, and I really don't want other people to make the same mistakes. If you feel the need to rock spoon wheels, or work wheels or whatever else floats your boat, then go right ahead. But don't say the justification for doing that is because Rota wheels, or any other non forged wheel is ----, because it simply isn't true
