Holung's DC5 Build thread
Well I have finally decided to do a build thread, I've read so many different ones and always wanted one of my own. So hopefully it turns out well. Now the only thing is I didn't really plan on doing one so I don't have pics of every single moment but I will do my best to explain everything.
Ok so I bought my rsx in April 2012 after my integra was written off by someone in a van running a red light doing 100kph in a 60 zone. Anyways here's some pics from the day I picks it up
And driving it home for the first time
Ok so first thing I did was cut and polish the paint as it had a lot of swirls followed by painting the calipers gold and to add some jdm rice I threw on my gold tow hook from my old teg
Next was to red out the ugly amber turn signals
At this point I wanted to do the whole hellaflush look so I picked up a set of 18" masitaly 9.5" wide here's pic of test fit
Next was to black out the ugly chrome headlights
After all that I got a type r lip and this is the way the car looked for a little while
Then came a custom 2 1/4 exhaust
Smoked out the reverse lights and installed a pioneer double din along with my 2 JL 12w3 subs from my teg
Just some pics of my buddies and I
Then installed buddy club oil cap
Yellow top battery
And aem v2 intake
Then I smoked the headlights
Installed -------- red Honda badges
Seibon Kevlar hood
And tein lowering springs
Along with fixing my fogs with lexan glass and filming them yellow with hids
Ok so that basically sums up from April to the end of 2012
Moving forward to 2013
I installed a buddy club short shifter and plm race header which I wrapped with heat wrap
Followed by a ep3 airbag and integra door sills
Finally my clutch burnt out, I was surprised it lasted so long as it was very high when I bought the car so I replaced it with a competition stage 2 clutch
Finally I decided to do the 05-06 conversion
Bought a p1 style front lip
And mugen rear along with wiring the tail lights to have two park lights
And basically that's where I'm at right now. I sold the masitaly rims
And I have function and form coilovers and a auto meter pillar gauge pod waiting to be installed and I ditched the Seibon hood
The cars suppose to go in for paint in the next 3 weeks along with installing mugen side skirts and currently on the hunt for a new set of rims

Installed mugen side skirts and 20mm spacers in the rear

Awesome stuff man, car is looking good from when I saw it, I think I saw it early may 2012 at is early stages, great work so far good choice on the 05-06 conversion

Thanks man I can't wait to see your new look when you get around to it. Just don't mess up your car cuz it's too sick right now although I'm liking this stance idea your going for. We will have to do a photo shoot one day
