Default He's only been lifting for over a year.....freak....

Hey Guys,

These are some vids of my bro in law (Slammo) and his buddies working out. He's only been lifting for a year and 2 months and he's benching 500lbs! Anyhow he hit his new personal best last night and here's the footage(. He wants to be in Canadian strongman... I think he definately has potetntial.

He'll probably see this so, congrats Sam!

I'm not an expert or anything but that deadlift looked aweful. On the way down, he's suppose to extend his back by pushing his chin forward.

Jay.. am i right?

*typo fixed

No doubt that's true but this was his personal best and he did it after he went for the squat so he was fatigued. He's also a 5'9ish 175-180lb amateur. I think he's just trying to get the weight up at this point, he said he wants to deadlift, squat and bench 500lbs once he accomplishes that I'm sure he'll perfect his form.

He better not let that desire for weight pulling get out of hand, and really hurt himself. Form is really, really important especially on deadlift - once you ---- your back, its game over.

And that 465 squat was like a half squat I would definitely not consider that a total lift.

Still impressive overall, tho!

^^ I think that's what people keep forgetting...cause you say 500lbs and think of some burry 6'4" 300lb guy.

BTW did'nt someone here once say if anybody knew someone who could bench 400lb and was under 200lbs, they'd give em money? I think someone said it was impossible.

Yeah - I'll collect on that to. My close friend is 189 and benches over 400 lbs. Squats 500, deadlifts over 400. All in impecable form. Money now!

i have a vid of my friend doing... 705

except in the vid, some dudes are helping and touch the weights after the liftoff and make him drop it... on his hand

500 in a year... oi. i don't get guys and how they strive for this stuff, but it is an amazing accomplishment nonetheless!
