FU dSLR users!
I considered buying a dSLR but after much consideration, I realized not only is it a much more expensive hobby ($1500+ for body and 1 lense!) but that I would never use many of its features. I also didnt want a plain point-and-shoot camera as I wanted some degree of manual adjustment. So after careful review I ended up buying a Sony Cybershot DSCH5 which is like a mini dSLR. I ordered it online and got it shipped to a relative in the states for a total of USD$440. I got it a few months ago when they were still going for about CDN$600+tax so I saved quite a bit. I have yet to fully explore all its features but it's been great so far. I'm looking to add the telephoto lens in the near future.
The basics of it are: 7.2mp with 12x optical zoom and a massive 3" screen! Here's an in-depth review on it: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/sony/dsc_h5-review/
And now on to some sample pics: (not PS'd, just resized by Imageshack)
