Hey guys i'll update this thread as i go along with my project. Got the car for a good price (1995 vx or cx I DONO) and jumped on it when i saw the underbody and how new it looked, especially the fuel lines :o Only rust the car had was the rear quarter panels

how i got it first

thanks. This car will be my daily so it'll prolly stay N/A. First has to be brake setup/suspension. looking for 5bolt if i can get a good deal or i'll just do gsr brakes. for motor setup leaning towards b20 with sir tranny or h22.

newguy 08-18-2007 01:33 PM

they are variants of the 5th generation japanese market "eg" chassis civics.

Trennell is right about Goo Gone. That stuff takes off the most stubborn things! Just make sure you don't try to cheap out on it though. Use as much as you have to and be patient (I know this from de-badging part of my car's rear).

The car looks good. Is that a stock colour for those Civics? It kinda reminds me of my own (Eternal Blue Pearl) but it's darker.

FuzzyLS BRO 08-19-2007 01:38 AM

looks good man, your on the way to a sick project!

I gotta give this Goo Gone a try. Yes it's a stock colour, you see it alot on the 4 door 92-95 civics but not alot on hatches.

paint thinner works as well. I use it at my shop to get sticker glue off of my batteries :)

(probably not as good as goo gone, but it does the job:yeah: )

Nawaaz 08-19-2007 04:35 PM

looks like its coming along really nice... good stuff

Solid GSR YO 08-19-2007 05:52 PM

looks good for a civic, you DA traitor!

FuzzyLS BRO SEDAN 08-19-2007 06:15 PM

Don't waste your time on goo gone, go to Home depot and get a large tin of Acetone. It should look purple when you pour it out and evaporate really quickly. I used it to take off the glue from pin striping and it eats away at any film/plastic such as tint or pinstripes or decals. It's not expensive at all, it's like 8.00 a tin. Put some on a rag and dab it over the window, let it sit for about 3 min and then soak the rag some more and wipe it all off.

ok got some amber corner and amber sidemarkers. bought f2 coils 10k front 6k rear with blox rear control arms. Now i tried installing the rear coilover now and took one bolt that connects the shock to the control arm out. than it started pouring like a bitch so had to stop working on the car so quickly put everything back on except that bolt!!! is it safe to still drive with the car like that since it's only one side in the rear?

OptionJDM gave me a great deal :yeah:

Good job saving this car. Im not a huge fan of meshy wheels, IMO a nice set of bronze or white wheels will set the car off. It'll give it some contrast.

team_AMAZING 09-17-2007 11:13 PM

Yes the car has made dramatic improvement over the course of a short time. Paint looks mint, can't wait to see it with the rims you want.

canttx 09-17-2007 11:19 PM

great job so far. Ill always love eg hbs.
I have a jdm sir2 spoiler and jdm clear corners if your interested.
spoon duckbills are nice, but you lose your 3rd brake light and I've almost been rear ended a couple times. something to consider.

what kind of lip is that?

jdm_4dr 09-18-2007 09:48 AM

wow. progressing quickly man. Im guessin engine will be next yr rite! :howudoin:

Reza 09-18-2007 01:41 PM

Thanks guys, and yes engine will hopefully come april next year.

thanks alex. The sir2 spoiler is it the same length as the stock one on my car but only difference is it has the longer 3rd brake light? pm me how much you would like for the corners btw.

Looks good - get the Si coupe front lip.

Edit - seen it with a lip in later pics, looks pretty good man

canttx 09-18-2007 03:19 PM

the sir spoiler is a little longer and has a slight flare.

mine is the 92-93 version with the 2 piece look (like pictured)where as the 94-95 version is a one piece look.
