the fact is that not many people would store their DA for the winter... its a 15+ year old car and people will use them all year round. most of the cars i posted are likely from the states like cali and sh!t so keeping them mint is easy. most of the people here would and are using them as their DD and drive em all year. i've had the privalege of getting my DA passed down to me (fam bought it brand new in 91) so it has a sentamental value to me. i'll prolly run it till it dies!
i will never go all out and spend the loot to mod my car cuz at the end of the day a car is the worst investment. it depreciates in value from the day you drive it off the lot (unless your buying a serious whip). i'd rather have an OK looking car and save that money on a better investment (like a house). but im one to talk. a lot of my money goes into sneakers. my sneaker collection can buy me a new car without a doubt. this thread was just to showcase the G2 era and everyone on this board with a 2nd gen teg. im not saying one is better than the other cuz at the end of the day, its an integra... this aint g2ic.com its torontointegras.com. DA or DC, its an integra. |

Amanda i meant the mugen lips are made to fit all the way around, i know because ive installed a few with my buddies in DC's already. Unless he got the 98+ lips and put it on a 94 bumper?

As much as it is true what you say about us not putting money into our DA's, remember we have to fix the bodies a lot more than ppl in warmer climates. Tell me thats bullshit because you know it is not. Lets forget for a second about different incomes and blah blah. Cali ppl dont have as much rust and bubble and etc as we do. Hence they might not spend as much to make it look good as we would. But honestly i dont mind what i drive, im not trying to impress anybody and im certainly not butthurt lol. I live alone and i make do with what i have. I wish i was the first owner of my car because i would have taken a lot better care than what the last retard did. You know what i mean? |

btw as a last word, there are plenty of finger licking good DA's that would make those ones look like ---- and i can vouch for that because they belong to buddies. They all live in my old area of Dufferin and St.clair. Why arent they on T.I.. because they have better things to do lol.

i got to post some of mine since its a da thread rite now its off the road until i get a clutch kit and flywheel, and put ym lipkit on.

i understand its a hobby and for some people its their life but when i posted i was talking about me personally. to each their own, yes, but i wont go out of my way to mod my car and add a bunch of expensive/rare parts to it. im fine driving my DA and im content on the state its in. pops gave it to me so it has a sentimental value to me. how are you going to compare the money spent to fix the rust of the body to spending twice as much on rims? what are you going to get from the rims? contentment? e-praise? fixing the body due to rust is a necessity whereas rims are considered luxury. it aint even the money issues, i went to school, i got a career... im on SALARY not HOURLY pay so i aint "ranting" that i aint got money. i can effing use my RRSP to buy a car. C’mon now. At the end of the day, i respect the person who saved that 20grand and used it on his down payment for his house cuz he’s looking out for his fam and putting a roof over their head than a dude driving a "modded" whip. Everyone has a different way of judging cars, whether it be rims, or how clean it looks, but at the end of the day all that matters is the car your driving the car you put all that precious time into.
