It's the way the riddle was written which makes it seem like there was a missing dollar. However, if you simply do the math, you will see it totals $30.

Good riddle though.

$25 + 3 dollars back to them ($1 each) does not equal $27 dollars..lol
such bad math...
but yeah..theres the mistake

Well the restaurant keeps $8.33 from each person for food = approx. 25 bux
Waitress keeps a tip of $0.66 from each person = approx. 2 bux
The three get 1 dollar back = 3 bux
Totalling the exchange of $30.00 :laugh1:
