It's the way the riddle was written which makes it seem like there was a missing dollar. However, if you simply do the math, you will see it totals $30.

Waitress keeps a tip of $0.66 from each person = approx. 2 bux
The three get 1 dollar back = 3 bux
Totalling the exchange of $30.00 :laugh1:

 

The catch is most people will subract $3 from $30, thats not what should be done, $3 should be added to $25
