Default buddy club 1 cover

cover finally came in, heres a pic, Im not 100% happy with it but whatever. Might change it up again this summer if its still around. I painted it but its a bit off, not sure why, I used the same paint I used last spring, same mix same. It might be cause the kit fiberglass. The kit also doesnt have marker lights so I had to install shitty looking LED's. Kinda looks like a f-in transformer now haha.

Looking pretty good! Did you wire the LED's up to work as your signals?

And yeah, the slight paint mismatch is likely due to fiberglass - the colour tends to appear a little off shade on fiberglass sometimes.

Always out doing yourself Marius. Good job. Sucks about the mismatch. Could be numerous amounts of things. I have a feeling it's due to a different equipment.

ya the old mans said there isnt much I can do, unless I add a bit of white and play around with the paint, Id have to make about 10 samples, and spary some kinda fiberglass and match it up. I'll do that, but not till summer. On some brand new cars you can see a differance in paint between the cover and the fenders (its just the way it it sometime.
The LED's are running lights and signals. I'd like to just have them as signals but not sure how to do so.
The stock wiring comes with a ground power and green wire (flasher?)
and the LED's just have a power and ground. I looked online and got tips that led me to wiring the 2 power wirers together and then the 2 grounds including the green. After doing so the running lights worked aswell as the signals. About after a min the signal fuse went. So as of not I changed the fuse, snipped the green wires from the ground and now there just running light. Anyone know how to make them just signals? Im not really into the LED look.

not bad, im still a fan of the OEM kits/lips. your kit is too "fast and the furious" for me.

Great job on the fitment tho. Paint the crap in behind of the bumper tho... white stands out WAYYY too much.

haha its a bad fade. I would of been done the week I did it just the bumper took forever to come in. I got it from extremeparts.ca check him out. His prices are good and the guys really nice. He returned my combat kit and ordered the buddy with not questions asked. It cost me $200 flat

I think its the cleaner body kit out there, not to to much shape to it, I might do the oem with lip if the colour doesnt turn out. Since it wont be fiberglass the paint might turn out closer.

I could do a flash coat on the fenders and hood, it will make it fade into the rest of the car, but I'd like to keep it solid

for sure, where is the rust?, near the sunroof, windshield? if the cars on the road come whenever, I got laid off so Im free anytime. Bring the materials and a coffee and we can get it done. Do you have a painter? I can paint it but I cant get a booth for free, but if its small we can try doing it in my dads shop.

Just a little bit above the windshield. Im looking to get rid of the rust, prime it then vinyl wrap the roof. Quick, easy and simple. But im not a body guy... i rather disassemble an engine and put it back together then mix and mess with bondo LOL!

Im off this Friday, does that work for you?

^Should be simple enough. Just cut the power feed wire to the LED's and splice that into the power feed wire to the signal...

If you want it both ways on and signal it won't work that simply. Staying on will over power the signal I tired that with my side markers.

But for just staying on should be exactly what Mike said above.
