Bob's Twin Turbo setup *pics inside*
i'll be doing the charge piping for this setup as well, i don't think it will be all that complicated. more pics when i get that far.
manifold... looks tight for a 2.5" dp coming off each turbo but i made it work. they merge into a 3". http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...h/DSC07517.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...h/DSC07521.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...h/DSC07525.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...h/DSC07524.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...h/DSC07522.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...h/DSC07519.jpg http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...h/DSC07529.jpg |
um...wow?
that looks amazing...how well would a twin turbo setup work on a b-series engine though? |
cool idea but.....theres a reason that not a lot of people do it unless its done to 3.2l but i guess you guys will find out
|
Fack Aaron, those welds look sex!

|
Looks kickass but I would rather see a 302 crammed into a civic instead.

This is a very unique build, so I don't expect it to look super nice or like everyone else. I think it's damn impressive and is a sight on its own. |
it's gonna sound pretty crazy........probably not gonna make the best power out there but it's deffinatly unique.
just make sure you pick 2 properly sized turbo's.....im not sure what the specs on those 2 pictured are but if they are to big it might not perform well at all.. good luck! |
Yeah, a guy that did twin turbos on a LS/Vtec inside a CRX said it sounded very unique, more like a rotary engine.
Turbo Specs: T28 T3 Compressor Housing AR42 Wheel T3 Trim 50 Inducer = 42.51 Exducer = 60.1 Turbine Housing AR 48 Wheel T25 Trim 62 ( Ceramic ) Inducer 53.8mm Exducer 41.7mm |

yes i know ive brought this thread from the dea but i was wondering wahtever happened with this? was it installed into the da like bob said it would? i wanna know what kind of numbers thhis setup put out to whp and how much torque? was there any turbo lag since it beeing a twin-t im guessing it obviously takes longer to get two turbos spooling instead of 1 righT? so just wondering whatever happened im really eager to know:)
|
it's not finished yet. still in the process of body work and paint
|
cool keep me posted or "us" for anyone else thats been eyeing this thread :laugh1:
