Been watching all this hype in the news this week about everyone saying how sydney crosby is the best nhl player of all time.......

my 2cents are is that they are both great players, but both different in the time period.

^ werd the caliber of players now is alot better than it was 25 years ago but to do even half as good as gretzky is still amazing

Crosby is a really good player but the Canadian media hypes him up too much. There are a lot of players out there that don't get the credit that they should.

The caliber was different back then too and Gretzky was way ahead of his time. Even when the goaltending skills increased Gretzky was still dominant.

I went to the Leafs/Pens game last weekend and I have to say...

Sidney Crosby is a whinny little beotch of a player!

He dove at one point and the refs gave Toskala a tripping penalty.

He's so cocky too! Sure he plays OK...but he's definately no Gretzky!!!

He's called 'The Great One' for a reason!
