Default Back at it...

Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted...

The mod bug went away for a bit, I moved houses and had to sell cars, work was busy, blablabla... but I'm back!

For those that don't know, I picked up an 02 IS300 back in November last year, but have been driving it stock... until this week! I started collecting parts for it about a month ago and finally had a chance to go tinker with the car. I'll be doing alot to it in the next couple weeks, but I just wanted to share my Stage 1... wheels, brakes, coilovers, i/h/e, engine dress-up.

Here's a sneak peak of what's going on so far:

I'm putting my flame suit on because I know alot of people here probably don't like the stretched, hella flush, major negative camber look.

Stage 2 will consist of electronics & exterior so stay tuned!

Now that's a slammed IS! How's the ride quality? I was thinking of gettting Tein H-Tech's for my IS.

Which front lip is that? Overall, nice car man

That's wicked Vince. The rear wheels remind me of how my EG wheels sit, i need new tires though. The stretched look is killer.

I was expecting more stretch but the look is killah.
Did you end up going with the Tein Flex with EDFC?

You're such a balleur.

Have you already started accepting applications for official fanboy? I would like to apply. I can take pretty good cell phone pictures of you at various meets.

That is all thank you.

Ride quality is top notch! Using Tein Flex, but I'm still waiting to install the EDFC next week. H-tech's should be decent, but it's always a good idea to run performance shocks with any lowering spring.

Front lip is a Gialla... the rest of the skirt package will consist of a TRD front grille, Wald sides, and a TRD rear lip.

I was expecting more stretch too!! I was so dissapointed when they popped on with no issues... I ended up going with a 235/40/18 on a 18x9.5"... what I should have done was go with either a 225/40/18 or a 235/35/18, but either of those would be deemed unsafe hahaha. They also don't look as stretched because of the rolled lip, next set of wheels will definitely had a stepped lip. The car looks insane rolling, the pictures just don't do the -4 degrees camber justice. I'm going to be running about a finger gap lower in the front when I get my adjustable front arms in... right now I could only get -2 degrees in the front when I ideally wanted -3.

I'm really not going all out... nothing will compare to the Del Sol so I won't even try haha.

Euro lights are the shizznit, I can't wait till a ricer pulls up and asks me where I got my Altezza's from.

Looks Nice Vince!

From the little i've been reading up on IS's apparently to swap in a full 2JZGTE swap is a bit of a battle, needing custom engine mounts and rediculous rewiring.

most from what i've seen have been either rebuilding their shortblock with Supra internals, or actually aquiring 2jzgte shortblock with 6spd tranny and bolting it up. minor work needed!

All in all, you have the perfect Platform to make a Baby Supra Beast! lol!

And in regards to a motor swap... not in the plans. I'd rather just keep the stock engine in her and go turbo.

http://www.dynamotorsports.ca/

Tony, just picked up a IS300, sexy car in person. Done perfectly if you ask me! Same GGP manual as well.

When I was there a few weeks ago he told me his car is making around 320RWHP at 8 psi, stock internals running off the BB T67 he was running in his Camry!

Not bad at all! I also learned IS300's dont use 100% dependant Drive by wire systems! Which is very apealing to me, as I dont trust drive by wire! lol
