You can find idiots anywhere, furthermore you can edit your footage to only show the idiots you talked to. This could be done in any country around the world.
Some people would consider those who make broad generalizations based on a very small sample of people to be idiots....but that's just some people.

i have friends and family in the states..and when it comes to anyting outside their state/country they are clueless.

I think North Americans in general are all mainly ignorant... We are one of few world regions that can afford to be without being dramatically effected economically . As long as we don't have to care..... we won't...
