Default 3d rendering programs

Hey guys, haven't been on TI for a week or so but I was just wondering if anyone here uses any 3d rendering programs? i just got cinema 4d a few days ago and i love it. the amount of stuff you can do is incredible.
but what i was wondering is if anyone has used Maya 7 and C4d, and what are the advantages between them. I'm still teaching myself the program but i heard maya is incredible. Some of the things i have done so far:

i'm thinking about switching over to maya but was wondering if i would be lost with it as i've only been using c4d for a few days.

Yeah, I'm more into CAD, especially AutoCAD. I want to go to sheridan for the cad course next september. It was the only thing back in high school that I had no trouble with, and i used to do side projects for my teacher for his personal ----.

Thanks alot. I like to just screw around with programs for the knowledge base, and i have fun teaching my self the in's-and-out's of different programs. I've taught my self html, some php, java, photoshop and now i thought i would learn how to do some 3d rendering. I some times help out a few webdesign companies that make primarily gaming websites for teams.

I agree. Been using that program since Grade 10.
Awesome rendering program and hell of a lot of fun to use.

I've used Maya, Rhino and CAD3D as well.

What ya modelling?
