Default Ideas for weekly Hamilton meet

So we need to set up a regular Hamilton meet. Saturday or Sunday nights are best (for me) because I work till 4pm on Saturday and have all Sunday off. Hutches is taken.. There's tonnes of Tim Hortons around. Eastgate or Limeridge parking lots? I'm not sure how ---- security is.. But yea.. Lets shoot some ideas around. I see tonnes of gen 3s in Hamilton but no meets.

what about during the week? like on a wednesday. most ppl are out on saturdays and on sundays they're winding down from the weekend and getting ready for the work week ahead.

malls tend to cause issues with security and/or cops. we can try limeridge mall and see how it goes.

in hamilton. i think the best spot with no security is on upper james. that runed down mall there. there is a walmart. Im not sure of the intersection.

Or Mark, that mall we were going to meet up at.

both those spots are good

That's Upper James and Fennell but there's not much parking space there since they are renovating it

A weekly Hamilton meet in the eastgate mall parking lot would probably work out nicely. There is always tonnes of room in the parking lot in front of the Walmart at eastgate...

I know the guys from Street Outlaws hang out at the parking lot next to the Canadian Tire gas station at Queenston and Nash...they tried to call me over when I had my Civic one Thursday night on my way home from work lol

i would prefer somewhere on the mountain. less traffic, better roads. i'm a little weary of eastgate. not a fan of the neighborhood. gang activity at night, my friend had a gun pulled on him there.

In hamilton. lmao.

ummm mark, going to be hard to explain. But when your coming down the hill from upper paradise, before you hit those big houses, there is a parking lot that over looks the city.

i'm not speaking for everyone but i think it may have something to do with a joined meet with TCC. some members might want a meet spot and time all their own with only TI members. i personally don't want to meet with all the TCC members. i'd rather meet with just 5-10 members in a random parking lot, that way it provides a better environment to interact, communicate and socialize with members. from experience of 7 years of going to meets, i feel the best ones are the big ones with a BBQ at a park or something similar and the small ones in a parking lot where everyone is involved in the conversation and socializing. it builds a strong community IMO.

I appreciate your feedback, it's important for us to know how we can make TI better and the meets are a big part of that so I'm sure Spike will read your comment and take it into consideration

I'd really like to hear more feedback from other members as well

The very few meeting I went to back in the day, were amazing.

They had it down. Now we need to regain all that and make it big

Ok, so should we try Eastgate? I know the area is rough but if there's a pack of us it shouldn't be an issue. As long as we're not doing burnouts, making excessive noise and giving people and security a hard time it shouldn't be an issue..

So what works better for people, saturday/sunday? 8pm/9pm? earlier/later? And don't stress about what your car looks like. Winter man-handled my car and I just don't care how it looks anymore lol.. It's better if you got a little rust showing cuz the cops won't bug you as much :P

Ok, so I'm thinking Sunday, 9pm, Eastgate lot in front of Walmart closest to the road. If Eastgate security gets in our face we can probably go down to the Future Shop plaza

Here's a thought...if there's already a set place that some teg owners already gather (as noted by these two posts), something already established...why don't TI'ers just join up with them? If Rymal & Upper James is the usual meeting place, why doesn't our group continue with that, meet some new people. Seems sort of logical to go where some old (or future TI members) meet.

Doesn't really matter to me, just sayin'...

Sorry to re-open this on you, Anthony.
Was just hoping to get a bit of information:

If there was a meet tonight at Eastgate or one at Rymal, can someone give feedback to make it known how it went, if anyone showed, etc? Would be great to find out, and might help in determining a set location for a weekly meet.

That's true, Jason. TCC was meeting there for a few years before TI decided to join up with them, and then start TI meets. And hopefully, it'll be nice weather for next Saturday...no rain!

If you all want to meet up that's fine, but is not TI official meet with out me saying yes to it. But I don't see it being a problem.

No, it isn't a problem. Anyone can arrange a meet, and call it whatever, it doesn't need approval when it's not an Official TI Meet. If a group of teg owners from this site (or even those who don't own tegs ) decide to meet on a weekly basis at a place of their choosing, it would be awesome. And Jason, I'm sure that as Admin of TI, it'll make you happy to know that the TI community is putting forth effort to meet and get to know each other.

Feel free to choose a locale, a time and date, and post up a new thread. If Buff4Prez said that there is already a group that he meets with, that might be a start in posting up where that group meets...if he's willing to share that with the TI community--of course, on a non-official basis. With the summer coming, it's going to be something a lot of people will want.

the group i usually meet up with is just friends that live in my neighborhood and their friends. its nothing really Integra (or any kind of car) oriented.

Sorry Burfy, I would've showed but at 9pm i was leaving my ice hockey game to get to my ball hockey game. weekends are bad time meet wise for me.
