Default Why is my car not heating up?

Hey i gotta 2002 civic stock everything. heres the thing im pretty sure this is my problem and i think i just answered myself but i want to hear from other too.

the problem:
is i drove the car in the morning (i didnt really let it warm up but thats not the case) i drove from woodbridge all the way to scarbrough town centre and the car's temperature barely went about the first line past the "C" so it was ------- cold and im sure you guys know woodbridge - scarb town centre is enough distance to heat up to normal operating temps right? i was done work around 9:30 pmish and same story on the way back home.

I DID TAKE OUT THE THERMOSTAT in the summer cause it was sticking and i overheated on the side of the road once. SO im pretty sure the problem is cause i dont have a thermostat i just want to confirm this.

but i also want to know did i ---- anything up? was there a chance of something going wrong casue the car is running such low temperatures. this is the first day it was that cold other days it would be 1/4-2/5th's of the way up and sometimes approx half way TIA GUYS HELP ME OUT thanks.

Running it without a thermostat was kinda stupid IMO. I know they are a rip off (approx $40 from the dealer) but you've probably wasted 1/4 of that in gas by now (exaggeration).

You probably haven't done any long term damage, other than maybe shortening the life of the cat a bit since the car will run richer when cold, but meh...

Go get a thermostat and put it in, make sure its bled properly, problem solved.

Did you top off ur rad after you took off the thermostat? Did u bleed the system? usually when i replace thermostats some coolant drips out and ppl often forget to top off and bleed.....
