This person who is interested in my car wants VIN for carfax..

is it safe to give it out to any people?

because really, he's only a stranger to me.....

he is on This forum, but just signed up....

yah, there is nothing bad that can arise from that.

You can get worser off a Number plate and UVIP off a Kiosk.

When you get the VIN number you can see the history of the car. Like if it was in an accident etc. The ministry of transportation has it all listed.
