it's about 7 10mm nuts on the top. Remove them and then pull the cover up and make sure you dont lose the gromets under the nuts they act as a washeer and prevent oil from leaking out aswell. If you clean the gasket up with a rag and then put a small bead of permatex gasket sealer on the gasket it shouldnt leak and you won't need to buy a new one. When you put the cover back on remeber to torque in sequence from the center outward to bottom left and to top right and so on to provide an even amount of torque across the cover so it seals correctly and doesn't leak and don't over tighten the nuts they snap really easily so just snug it up don't use all your might there just 10mm's.

no those are threaded into the cylinder head you just have to pull your ignition wires up and move them aside. Unplug them from the engine not from the distrbutor cap so that you dont forget the firing order and mix up the wires they are certain lengths so you won't mess up, they will reach only to where the belong in the valve cover.

also make sure you get a clean hand towel or 2 clean rags and lay them over the head with the valve cover removed to prevent any dirt or objects falling in the head. i have heard horror stories with things like that and people not noticing and having some nice motor issues lol. just a heads up, even tho your careful accidents do happen and its way better to be safe then sorry in my books.
