Default upper control arm b/j help

Well here is the problem, the upper control arm balljoint is compleatly garbage and the car is now undrivable. Few mechanics told me that I must get the whole control arm. Called few places and non had em. So I called partsource and they wanted over 300 for the control arm. Then they told me that they sell the balljoints alone for 127$. So now does anybody know if the b/j can come apart from the arm or not. Problem is I need the car on the road...yesterday yet my funds don't allow ME to buy a brand new control arm. The car is 92 Integra rs. I'm guessing that DC and EG civics did not come apart but how about DA's? I will be pulling the arm off regardless tomorrow but don't really wanna bang on the b/j for too long and then find out its not supposed to come apart. Btw I got no balljoint press so any tips would be appreciated.
Thx ahead of time.

Option #2 are DA/DC and possibly EG civic camber kits the same/interchangable? That would be a little easier and the price is just a little more than a balljoint.

From what I know Honda's you need to prlace the whole upper control arms. I have change them from EG civics, DC Integras, to even newer Accords, and I believe its the same with them, but I will check out for you and let you know.

Ok I just check it out, and I was right you need to change the full control arms. If you want a set of OEM one's I will talk to the G/F as she does work for Honda, and I will get you a better deal then $300 for them. Retail on them from Honda is $174.52 each (I love having access to all labor times and dealer prices on parts) so it will be less then $300 for both.

Call that place I linked you to for a used one. They should have them cheap and theyre still good. As for the control arms, Im sure you can even get some aftermarket ones at Option jdm if anything, theyre like 150 or so there for the pair.

Martin, I can recommend you to somebody who might be able to take care of you on this.

The shop is called JC Autoworx, located in Woodbridge. His name is John, and his number is 905-265-2132. He specializes in Honda and Acura.

Give him a call, he's my mechanic and the only person I would take my car to. Let him know of your situation and he should be able to help you out - also tell him David sent you I trust him with everything related to the car. He also builds track performance cars in his free time, and his work is simply amazing.

I can with confidence say he will treat you right, and on top of it all give you a really good price on them if he has them (he has a huge collection of used parts and stuff for civics and integras).

Cheers
