I think fuel getting to your spark plugs could be a problem :P

It could be the timing isnt linedup. But if your getting a spark and gas, its your main fuel relay

even if the timing is off a tooth or even 2, the engine should still start, just it will run like a bag of ---- tho. Check you ground wires to make sure they are all tight aswell, because if one is a little lose, the car will not even crank

The ground thing is very plausible. when my friend and i swapped a d15b into a bubble back, it wouldnt start and we tried EVERYTHING! we had the valve cover ground connected properly, but like 3 weeks later, after almost giving up, we realized that the rubber grummit was not allowing it to ground properly. so try not to spend any money until you check things, or you'll end up like us with about 400 bucks of unneccessary spending.

start from the intake up, doing even stupid things. just do the "path of combustion" and make sure everything is in check.

Main relay sends a signal to ecu to turn on the fuel pump. If he's getting fuel then its not the main relay.
Though this was almost 4 months ago, so I'm sure the problem has been solved.
