Ball joints? No.
What parts are you swapping, if just struts/springs then everything should work. Only thing would be recommended is that you get some new bolts for rear lca's. Vida can back me up on this hahaha, damn bolt tends to get stuck in the bushing, if that happens then good luck haha. Easiest way is to torch the bushings out and get new ones pressed in or just get new lca's for almost the same price.

YES. NEW BOLTS!!!! Looool. ---- happens man. Also, might as well go aftermarket with the LCA's. Chances are that it will be seized and the bushings are gone to *****. I got my Lcas from option jdm for 200 with polyurathane bushings andn they look sweeeeeet. Pretty much the same thing as buying the new bushings no? Just hit up a scrap for your suspension bolts. i payed like 10 bucks for mine. WD40 isnt gonna work man. Take it from experience, mine and scrid3r's

Just remember that the rear struts on the itr are "ball joints", while other tegs are forked. So if you get lca's just make sure they are for itr's... nothing worse then you're just about to start and you realised that you got the wrong parts.

Rear lca's have balljoints not bushings? Never knew that.
Time for research.
Also WD40 won't help if the bolt is stuck. The bushing shrinks and it won't budge. Trust me, I was whacking that **** hard and from all the impact the seized bolt did not nudge a bit inside the bushing. If you have lca's and struts then only thing you have to worry about is the bolt at the frame/LCA snaping and not coming out.

ya it didnt fit.........just kidding!, ya the suspension was very easy to put on. we did run into some seized bolts on the front forks but what we did was just unbolt the struts only and re used the forks without having to unbolt the seized up stuff. the back was pretty simple as well. i couldnt believe how different the LCA's on my gsr looked from the type r's. but its nice to finally be at a 1" drop rather then a 2" with blown struts. i love my teg again feels awsome to not have to slow down to a complete stop, turn the wheel before going over a speed bump...who wants my old coilovers lol

You know how the rear struts on a regular Teg is forked so it fits over the top of the lca? Well the Type R's instead have a ball or ****. So he would need a lca for a type r instead....
