Default Transmission Question

I was wondering if anyone's ever run into the problem on a 1996 MTX integra of the car slipping out of gear. This only seems to happen ocassionally on the highway in 5th and then the car will fall out of gear in into neutral. The clutch plate is fine and it holds when I'm doing city driving, it only happens on the highway.

Any ideas?

go under your car and make sure the driveshaft is in all the way. Physically grab it and pull to check.

I think the stabilizers are alright, just because the other four gears are fine, I'm going to double check my fluids when I get home and put it up on the ramps to check the driveshaft and engine mount.

btw, w/ the driveshaft, when I give it a pull, I assume that there shouldn't be any play in it at all right?
