good everyday setup, by no means agressive... i dont like the drop of tein springs on the integra though... a friend of mine had them and it gave the appearance that the front sat higher than the rear... personally, i'd go with H&R Sport or Neuspeed Sport... they are both progressive rate springs so ride quality isnt thrown out the window, and the drop looks perfect imo... 1.8" F, 1.5" R

 

I really dislike the blues - they are ok but for the $ you might as well add a bit more and get something better. (and yes I have owned blues in 2 different cars)

 

blues arent bad, good for everyday driving, but nothing spectacular.

 

tokico blue shocks and kyb gr2 shocks are oem spec replacement... no?

 

kyb gr2 is but tokico blue is a bit higher performance

edit: rears are koni reds though.. still adjustable.. just more hassle.

 

dont go for the blues, you'll regret it. go with an adjustable setting shock to fine tune the rebound and compression. Also, with the amount of drop the new Tein springs have in the front, you'll blow the fronts fairly quickly.

I had that set up with Illuminas, which worked better.

what are you talking about "b18booya"?? how could your buddies front be higher then the back. i have tein springs and my front is way lower. i have a 1.7" drop in the front and 0.9" drop in the rear.. i think your buddy installed them wrong.

Yeha i know its a shitty pic but i took it at work...

Tokico blues and Tein Master Dress up springs... it handles much better than stock but there is alot that is better.... ride is great for a Daily driver

what do u guys think? SplitFire is selling the set but not sure if its Blue and the kind of springs!!! its pretty much for daily driver, nothing fancy or anything...

I've never owned Tokicos personally so it's hard for me not to recomend them. From what I hear, people tend to upgrade to something better fairly quickly after buying them. They seem to be a stepping stone to something better. If you just need a set of working shocks and springs, I'm sure Paul will give you a killer deal on them so I doubt you'll lose any sleep over the decision. If you want a high performance, proper race valved, high quality shock/spring combo, then don't bother with the stepping stone. If you just need a replacement set, I'm sure they're more than adequate for your commuting needs. Make sure they're not leaking and once they're in the car, see if the car is bouncy - that would suggest they're blown. Another thing is you really need to hope the springs match the spring rates for the shock. If they're outside the range of the shock, either higher spring rate or lower, they won't last very long.

To those who have one of these shocks, which one is better for a smoother ride rather than performance. My drop is 1.5" but I'm looking for comfort.
