Default timing belt

I am hating my car..sorry ranting....

ok so last night my car just dies.....and luckily i die in front of some backyard mechanics....the diagnose what sounds to them as a timing belt(its turning over twice as fast as it should) so today after my car has been sitting over night...i go to my local shop and they say a timing belt will be 300$....plus 100$ for towing...but as i am leaving he says you know theres a chance that it has bent a valve....DAMNIt so my question is.....what are my chances it has bent a valve..my car's got 215km....

^^^^ yeah that was my fuxored timing belt... they can go sooner - luckily for me it was later.

Does that include anythign else or is that just the timing belt and labour?

I paid under $300 for my timing belt, alt. belt, a/c belt, water pump, seals,- all OEM iridium spark plugs including the renting of the compressor. It's DIY - along with crying in the corner/cursing/nightmares with the TI Pit crew and a lot of broken/returned tools.

the bent valve would be from the belt braking not the age of the engine.
the resone would be the piston may have hit the valves becuse they had stopped moving

Good luck i hope its just the belt!!

its all luck. everytime a timing belts snaps there is more to it than just bent valves, u prolly gotta replace the water pump.

My car is at 205 000 and I just had the Acura dealer replace
Timing Belt for the second time. I also did
Water Pump
A/C belt
Power steering belt
Alternator belt
Full cooling system flush
Manual Trans change
Oil Change
Rotate tires
For $355 or so
I get mad hookups

I'd say. You paid for the parts.

No labour charge
