Default Throttle body size

Hey quick question, just wondering if the throttle body on an LS has a smaller bore than the throttle body on a GSR. My TPS sensor broke and I have a TB kicking around from an LS. Thanks

Sebastian

grab a tape measure and find out.
But i think all b-series throttle bodys are 60mm (cept for the ITR) and some of the older b16/ls's i've seen, which are 58mm.
You could always just swap the TPS sensor itself too though....grab a drill and some new screws if yours is rivetted on.

thanks for the reply, I was going to just swap the TPS sensor but I think you have to set it to a certain voltage, something like 0.5v.... not to sure though.. Any more input would be great

thanks again

when installing a new TPS you do need to calibrate it properly. Which means setting it so that it reads 0.5 at closed and 4.5 at WOT. You do this by probing the TPS plug with a multimeter (i find its easier to use the OHM setting) and rotate the TPS sensor itself until you're reading 0.5 at closed throttle. Its pretty easy to do, but you might wanna have a buddy help you hold the multimeter while you rotate the TPS.

if you do put a larger diameter tb on you will want to bore your intake manifold to match it, otherwise you will be doing more harm than good from a performance standpoint.

Thanks for the feedback, I might just swap the whole throttle body to save me from the headache... by any chance does anyone have an OBD2 TB??

thanks
