Stock LSVTEC?
So I have a stock B18B block and my car has a B16A head.
If I had the block rebuilt with new seals, bearings, rings and shot peened rods. Then if I put my stock B16 head on it (with new seals), would it be worth it? I'm not looking for crazy power yet as I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with the motor but I figure at least this way I will have a fresh motor. |
Are you budget limited? If you have no budget cap you should go ahead.
|
It's not that I'm budget limited it's simply that I don't know if I want to build a motor for boost or N/A.
That and the fact that I would like a fresh motor. |
stock LSvtecs kinda suck. If you're gunna go through the trouble of rebuilding it, might as well decide what ur gunna do with it and build it accordingly. A set of RS machines ITR or b16 pistons are pretty damn cheap and a great way to bring the compression up for a n/a build.

I'll likely end up boosting it one day.
This way I can at least break it in and change it up over time. |
