Default Starter issues

When it gets really cold in the morning I have to tap the started for a good while in order to get my car to start, its easy when i got a second person but when it is just me it is a pain. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, or should I just get the starter changed, anyone know a good place?

BTW I have a B18b1 with an A/T

get a new starter, new rebuilt or a new used one or you can rebuild it which is much more time consuming....either or, there's no other solution to the problem other than replacing or rebuilding. one thing you could check is to see if the power and ground wires at the starter are properly secured which could also be your problem...goodluck!

It like 2 bolts to take the starter out , just get another and install yourself.

Thanks, looking into getting a new starter, anyone got any suggestions? Is it worth it to get a new one or would a low KM used one work? Thanks

^^ Depends on your budget. A low km used would be fine, or rebuilt or new. I usally go to this place in east york. very good prices if you pay cash and quiliaty re-built startes and alternators. It is call Ararat Auto Eletric
