Default So i got a ratteling problem

i have narrowed it down to the location so what im guessing is the tensionar because of the amount of play you see on the belt while its revving. when its off there's pretty good tension. well here is a video i took and let me know what you guys think it could be. if there are any other possibilities

could be the tensioner or could just be a bad stretched belt maybe if you just did you timing belt and water pump it might be fine its really hard to tell maybe just do the tensioner anyways to be on the safe side??

lol well if im doing the tensioner might as well do t-belt and water pump...but heres the dilemma....
im planning on swapping the motor soon so is it really necessary, not really driving the car much now anyway specially with the snow we got today didnt even take it out.

i have had this problem for a while i don't feel any difference in performance wise but just the rattling gets annoying....

What kind of a motor is it? If you think you make a bit off of the engien you have in there, then go ahead and do it, and when you're ready to swap, that will bring up the value a bit, I think go for it, and do the work, and in the end it will pay off, because financial problems can always arise and delay modifying.. i know.. lol

drive it till the belt goes then lol. better that maybe you will have the $ for your swap no point in doing a timing belt. a running motor is only a few hundred. i wouldnt bother doing the belt if you haev been driving it like that for anwhiel and dont drive it much id hold out.

... i was typing this when u posted.. yes get the b20 then all u need is the head later on. and @ the moment b20 cost as much as the b18 so itd b chaper @ the moment to do the b20
